Companionship Care In Trafford And Surrounding Areas

Loneliness is a growing nationwide issue. As Trafford’s only ‘Outstanding’ rated care provider we aim to tackle this issue first-hand by offering companionship care services for people from all walks of life in our community.

According to Age UK, there are 1.4m chronically lonely older people in England

Deteriorating health or limited mobility can increase the likelihood of an individual suffering with loneliness. Loneliness has a serious impact on mental & physical well-being.

“The care and support offered to my wife who suffers Alzheimer’s disease is second to none. Beloved staff and especially my wife’s companion have become a special family partnership.”

How Beloved Homecare can help

The first step is to arrange a visit from our Care Manager Wendy Gorton and our Care Supervisor Emma Sharples. This is an opportunity for members of our management team to get to know your loved and maybe even other members of your family. This visit is free of charge and allows us to learn more about your loved one, their hobbies and interests, as well as what they would like from their caring companion. We take our time to match individual client needs with the right personality.

Our care companions are friendly, well-trained, and equipped with the social skills needed to be an excellent caregiver. We’ll try and think of plenty of things to do too. Whether that be a trip to the Garden Centre or an opportunity to look through some old photos.

Why choose a Beloved Homecare Companion?

Beloved Homecare offers companionship care designed around the individual; giving the client the choice to pick what they want to do for the day, or plan the week. This could range from going to the local leisure centre, baking sweet treats, go out for a coffee and a chat, visit your favourite garden centre, do some gardening, go shopping, provide support on medical appointments, learn how to use smartphone or tablets, or start a new hobby – all of this becomes manageable and easier when there is a companion around to support your wishes. Having a Beloved Homecare companion means:

  • You have someone to reminisce about the past with
  • Have a support system in place so you can pursue your hobbies and interests
  • The ability to attend social events and activities
  • Be able to do the weekly shop with a carer there for assistance
  • Have someone complete domestic tasks – so you have more free time to spend with family and friends.
  • Discussing meal choices and assistance with meal preparation.

Case Study – Helping our client Ashley live the best quality of life

Ashley has been a client with Beloved Homecare for two years and is currently living with his mum. Ashley is a very personable individual who enjoys meeting new people. Ashley is a long-term Manchester United fan, and is also a keen gamer and enjoys reading a thrilling and adventurous book.

Ashley has been living with Cerebral Palsy since a very young age. Cerebral palsy is the name for a group of lifelong conditions that affect movement and co-ordination. However, his condition has not stopped Ashley from pursuing what he loves through the help of our companionship carers. Ashley has always loved swimming, and thanks to our caregivers he can safely pursue his passions by being accompanied by a care companion twice a week to his local leisure centre.

Below is a video of Ashley swimming independently at his local swimming bath, closely supervised by our Managing Director Mark Collier.
