The Beloved Homecare Team Run Alzheimer’s Society Charity Marathon

Since 2015, at Beloved Homecare we have been supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. We know first-hand how these progressive conditions can impact individuals and their family members, and we have seen the struggles that people frequently come up against. So, on Tuesday 24th May 2022 our extraordinary team ran 27 miles across Trafford to raise awareness and much-needed funds for Alzheimer’s Society.

We are incredibly proud to say that we have raised over £1,300 for Alzheimer’s Society and we are so grateful to everyone who has donated to a cause that is so close to our hearts. This money will go towards vital Alzheimer’s research, local support services for those affected by this disease and campaigning to raise awareness and drive change.

Until the day a cure is found for dementia, the amazing work the Alzheimer’s Society does will continue to be invaluable and we know just how much of a difference this charity makes to peoples’ lives. There is still time to donate and if you would like to help us support this amazing cause, visit our Just Giving page

How can Beloved Homecare help with dementia care?

Beloved Homecare is a family run home care agency and Managing Director, Mark Collier has experience caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s. It is really common for family members to support someone living with dementia and we provide a range of home care services that can take some of the pressure off of them. When we appoint our carers, we apply the “mum’s test” and we consider whether we would let this carer support our loved ones. We then provide suitable training for the chosen carer to ensure they have the capabilities required to care for somebody in their own home, regardless of what stage of dementia they have.

Our dementia care services are designed to help people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia continue to live independently within the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. We are passionate about providing person-centred care and we will tailor the services required to our client’s individual needs at this moment in time. All of our home care services are very flexible and a care plan can be adapted over time to ensure anyone with dementia is living comfortably and safely in their home.

Whilst we’re providing high-quality care and support services to clients living with dementia, we are on hand to offer support, reassurance and advice to family members too. Our care always extends to the wider family and we understand that this disease can affect everyone close to our clients. With many years of experience behind us, we can help you to organise a bespoke care package for your loved one and we can empower you to make the best decisions for them. We can assure you that you will be in the best hands with our compassionate team.
