According to the CQC website, there are currently 163 home care providers and 156 care homes in the Trafford area alone. Making the right choice can be a difficult and exhausting process. We aim to alleviate that stress by explaining why Beloved Homecare could be the right choice for you. Beloved Homecare delivers specialist home care services in Altrincham, Hale, Sale, Timperley, Bowden, and Urmston.
An alternative to a care home
One option that is often considered as an alternative to a care home is home care. There are numerous benefits to home care in comparison to a residential nursing home.
- The ability to stay in your own home – Familiar faces in familiar surroundings.
- One-to-one care – Something which can be hard to achieve in residential care where support is often generalised to meet the demand of the many.
- You can retain your independence and stay in control of your lifestyle.
- Home care keeps couples together in their own home.
- Continued participation in your local activities, clubs, and community events.

Personal Experiences – home care in Altrincham/Trafford area
As an organisation, we understand the challenges you face first-hand. Our Managing Director and founder Mark Collier, cared for his mother for 6 years after his father passed away. As an only child, Mark had to deal with a loved one living with Alzheimer’s by himself. Mark has a personal understanding of what it is like during this stressful and thankless experience.
After his mother’s passing Mark decided to create his own home care company to support vulnerable members of his community. Our objective is to ensure that our clients and their families do not go through the same hardship, loneliness, and struggle that Mark personally went through when taking up our professional home care services. We aim to alleviate stress and deliver a safe and bespoke service.
We’re keeping families connected through technology: PASSsystem
At Beloved Homecare, we understand that new technologies can perform important functions which are essential to how we deliver care. Our PASSsystem is a digital Care Management Application that offers peace of mind and is a hub for information for both customers and Care Assistants.
For family members, regardless of geographical location, you will have 24/7 access to your loved ones care notes & care plan. This is peace of mind for the many, helping families feel at ease knowing those most precious are being properly cared for. In conjunction with the Management team, staff can update care outcomes; make changes in medication, and access care plans before a client visit.
It doesn’t matter if you’re seeking Home care in Trafford, or if you’re browsing for care internationally, we help ensure that you’re connected with us 24/7.
Rigorous recruitment & training
When searching for home care it’s important to identify the measures an organisation has to ensure staff are sufficiently recruited, trained, and regularly assessed. It’s also important to ask about the hiring process and what the company looks for in a Care Assistant. Understanding this process gives you a good idea of the type of people that will be caring for your loved one.
All members of staff who are recruited by Beloved are subjected to:
- Values-based interview
- Psychometric Testing
- Thorough, enhanced background checks alongside verified & reputable references.
- Comprehensive training course including a 3-day induction and 2-week shadowing program
In conjunction with the above, Beloved has a variety of different quality assurance systems to ensure both the quality of the service and training of staff
- Quarterly spot checks
- Annual training refreshments
- Annual appraisals
- 2-day completion of national care certificate
- And more!
All the measures above are for the safety and duty of care we have to our clients and staff. This also helps ensure compliance with the CQC and helps maintain our ‘Outstanding’ rated service.
Absolutely outstanding! It’s a real pleasure working for a company who care so much not only about clients but the carers too. The support we receive from the management team is impeccable and as a team we do a great job looking after the community in the comfort of their own homes.
Person-Centred Care
We appreciate that everyone is different. Each and every single one of us has different likes & dislikes. That’s why our care plans are specifically designed and implemented to meet the specific needs of our clients. Whether you like a cup of tea first thing in the morning, cat food put out 3 times a day for your four-legged friend, or regular trips to the garden centre, no task is too troublesome for us to handle. The care plan provides details on your personal preferences. That way our carers can deliver a more bespoke and tailored service. Our care is focused on the individual and their specific needs. Not just a general ‘care for all’ plan. We believe one-cap does not fit all.
Not only is the care plan put in place for clients, but also their family members. We collaborate with family members to identify how we can alleviate stress and worries from them and develop a person-centred care plan.
This approach to care is important to maintain our client’s dignity and independence.
An example of our person-centred approach
Les is an avid watcher and follower of football team Manchester United. To help Les keep up with his passions in Football, members of our office team, including our Managing Director Mark have taken Les to Manchester United football matches. Our amazing carers have also supported Les in visiting the Manchester Football Museum.
As a care company, we aim to enrich the lives of our clients by helping them pursue their passions. For Les, we aim to take him to see his favourite football team whenever possible.
A family-run business since 2015
Since the conception of the company, Beloved has been run by members of Mark’s family. Benefits of a family business include long-term stability, trust, loyalty and shared values. Members of the family-run team manage the 24/7 on-call phone. This entails managing a line of communication between members of the management team with the carers 24-hours a day 7 days a week. This ensures that carers have someone to reach out to if they need assistance. Equally, this gives family members peace of mind, knowing that we’re always available to help or offer any support if needed.
